What type of test sample and how is it sent?
Preeclampsia testing is performed on a serum sample collected in a gold top tube. The minimum sample volume is 0.5 mL. The amount of whole blood collected should be 2½ times the required volume of serum so that a sufficient amount of serum can be obtained.
What is the turnaround time?
Most results are available within 24 hours or less once we receive the sample at our laboratory in Mansfield, MA.
